How the Training Works

These courses are designed to connect the ideas and concepts explored in Drama, Film and Theatre Studies with practical creative experience. Students learn through a combination of discussion, demonstration, experimentation, collaboration and practical production.

Courses can be delivered as individual workshops, short programmes or longer-term training, and can be adapted to suit the needs, experience and interests of each school and student group. The different areas of the subject are not treated as isolated topics. Students are encouraged to see the connections between creating, performing, producing, researching and responding.

Tailored to your school

Every school is different. Courses can be adapted around your school’s requirements, the experience of your students, available facilities and the areas of Drama, Film and Theatre Studies you want to develop. Whether you are looking for a one-day workshop, a short programme or ongoing practical training, the content can be shaped around your needs.

Courses are held on school property during school hours, using the school’s own equipment. Group size is decided by the school, from a talk to a full year to a practical course with three or four students. How a day runs is agreed with each school.
