Creative ideas only become films through production. This practical course introduces students to the technical and production skills required to turn creative decisions into finished work.
Students explore the different roles involved in filmmaking and learn how individual responsibilities contribute to the wider creative process.

Practical learning
Students work with cameras, sound and lighting equipment and take part in practical production exercises. They experience different production roles and learn how decisions made on set affect the finished piece.
The course encourages students to work collaboratively, solve problems and make creative decisions under practical constraints.
Who is it for?
Suitable for students with little or no production experience, as well as students who want to develop their existing technical skills.
Course outcome
